Welcome to the PREY TELL Podcast! I'm your host, Ashley Schef. 

In every case I cover on PREY TELL I begin with the victim and their story. I created this show to help advocate on behalf of victims who can no longer speak for themselves. As someone invested in true crime, I kept seeing the same troubling patterns across cases. And when it comes to victims and their families, they’re left hoping someone cares enough to uncover the truth. Every victim has a story to tell, and that story deserves to be told. 

The naming of PREY TELL  is a nod to the victims. Prey (P-R-E-Y) is how predators often refer to, or think of their victims. Calling someone prey is what victims are reduced to when our society and legal system labels them as a case number and neglects to remember the real human suffering. My intention is to help reclaim the word prey for every victim of a crime, and especially those victims who are still being silenced. In every episode I’ll examine a case and hunt for the truth.
